Collection: Lychee

Lychee wood, Litchi chinensis, comes from the lychee tree.

The tree is fairly common in the tropics; the wood you buy from Bois Canon comes from Guadeloupe. It was felled on the heights of Saint-Claude, as it had become too old to bear fruit.

Its wood is very dense, close to 1, and more or less figured depending on the piece. Without doubt a wood to have in your collection!

Density close to 1,000 kg/m³
