Canadian Bird's Eye Maple, Acer saccharum, is an aesthetic singularity found in sugar maples (hard maple) of the Canadian and North American forests.

Highly prized as veneer for its small knots resembling "bird's eyes", it is used in lutherie to make high-end guitar and bass necks. It is a very rare wood with a truly unique look.

Here you will find roasted Bird's Eye Maple: it has been baked at high temperature using a specific industrial process, which gives it a caramel colour and great stability.
