Jatoba (Courbaril), Hymenaea courbaril, also called Brazilian cherry, is a wood from Amazonia and French Guiana.

Its wood is brown, sometimes with darker brown veins. It is dense but easy to work. It is prized in cabinetmaking and woodturning, and also suits knifemaking and lutherie.
