Collection: Spanish Cedar

Spanish Cedar (Acajou de Guyane), Cedrela odorata, is known internationally as Cedro. It belongs to the Meliaceae family and has a very pleasant scent reminiscent of European cedar, hence the name Cedro.

It is traditionally used to line luxury cigar boxes. It is also highly prized in classical and flamenco guitar making.

Its wood, with a density of around 500 kg/m³, is even. The grain is fine and it turns and machines very easily, always with an amazing scent.

In French Guiana it is used to make traditional objects and is often carved with a knife.
