Collection: African Mahogany

The name "mahogany" refers, more or less precisely, to a group of red woods from Africa and the Americas.

Strictly speaking, "mahogany" covers only two species: Honduras mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla) and Cuban mahogany (Swietenia mahogani).

Woods of the Meliaceae family are commonly called mahogany, even though some are only distant botanical cousins.
